The Sport pack is 13 secs quicker around the ring! If they keep it under 30k, I might go back to VW after all.

Wonder about wind and road noise.

I'm really tempted as well, would be a perfect commuter car, and LSD would help in the snow.

My guess is with leather and sport pack it'll be pushing $32-33k. That might be a tough sell, since I can get a low mileage 335i for that.

If it were made by someone other than VW I'd be really tempted.

Having owned many of both brand and having had many problems with both... BMW hands down has treated me better as a brand. With the exception of my Cooper neither provided me with a totally problem-free car. But one brand has stood by its product while the other... yikes...

my experience has been just the opposite.

dealer has been great so far with our 2012 VW GTI, better than BMW.

(Suburban VW in Farmington Hills, MI versus Erhard BMW across the street).

I haven't bought a VW from Suburban but have bought a Honda and Mazda from them. The service has been good. On the other hand I've leased 2 E90's from Erhard in FH and the service has always been stellar.

Need to go drive this. I'm excited. Love the GTI
