Z4 Replace Oil Separator
 

Hi guys, anybody here had experienced replacing an oil separator for Z4 3.0 ? BMW dealer said, there is leak on the oil separator and cost of replacement is $1100. Any help on DIY will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Is it the oil separator hose? I would do the hose myself. Where is it leaking?

Telling him "do it yourself" is not exacty "help". He wants to do it himself, he's looking for DIY help or experience.

By the way, where is this oil separator located? I will check it myself tomorrow.

This might be similar, it's a 3.0.

I asked my parts gal for the "cyclone separator fun kit" it contained all the (brittle) hoses and the separator (located under the intake manifold, but accessible).
