BZATWORK 09-30-2012 12:32 PM

F1.tifosi 09-30-2012 01:03 PM

Any specials for E60 535i?

Mbbrewer 09-30-2012 02:31 PM

Is it possible to buy the tune during the sale and install it in a couple of months? I am picking up my car in Munich this month, but it won't arrive in the US until December.

Yes plenty of our members have installed at delivery, you just would still need to follow break-in procedures.

So the stage two for 550i is $3499. Once the 15% is applied to that, should one expect to pay installation and taxes as well?

I doubt the discount applies to installation though in the auto repair biz labor is usually invoice separately and in GA is not taxed. Tax will likely be levied on the after discount price of the Dinan product only so tax is essentially discounted by 15% too. So your $3499 would be $2974 plus your sales tax plus labor. Assumes your sales tax laws are same as GA, natch.

My Dinan dealer is advertising a 20% discount so it shows they have ability to discount more than the 15%.

bgstucki 10-03-2012 05:22 AM

I had it done yesterday on my 2013 550i. Wowee. Very nice and it took just a couple hours to install.

Donm 10-03-2012 07:28 AM

I am hoping to get the exhaust upgrade for my 'on order' 2013 550i during the sale but Dinan has not yet test fitted it to a 2013 apparently. Good that they don't take it for granted that there is no change in system.

They promise to let me know when they have tested it with a 2013 model.

Looks like the software upgrade is compatable.

Alecop77 10-03-2012 11:20 AM

Too bad I can't buy anything ...

Thats funny, I have a 2013 550i and I am going from Dinan stage 2 to stage 3 today. I dont understand how anything from the axle back would be different from the 2012. I guess my shop will find out today when they are installing it! Dinan did not seem to have any issues shipping it to them yesterday.

I'm getting the stage II installed next week on my 2013 550xi, can't wait. Does anyone know if I were to install meisterschaft gtc exhaust if I would benefit from the stage III?

I am sure it would, but I think that Dinan is the perfect balance of looks, sound and performance. My 550i in stage 2 tune was faster than hell, but whisper quiet...which takes away from the experience, IMO.

With the addition of the Dinan exhaust and stage 3 tune, you get the whole package. Deep, throaty exhaust note with the nice M5 burble when shifting or lifting off of the gas....yet never too loud.

Best mod yet...hands down.

Ace535i 10-03-2012 10:24 PM

So, only at Dinan stage 3 does one get the exhaust rumble?

I hope the original oil and water pumps and transmission can take the significant increase in power and torque.

The Dinan exhaust is part of the Dinan stage 3 package....hence the better sound.

I suppose you could run the exhaust with the stage 2 (or stage 1 for that matter)..but why?

F1.tifosi 10-04-2012 07:10 AM

Not sure about the e60 Dinan tune platform. This stage 3 is for the F10 550i/xi only.
