Repainting a Hardtop

Can someone tell me or direct me to information regarding the dimensions of the hardtop for my car. I'm thinkilng about buying one but it will need painting and I thought if I gave the size of the top to my body shop guy, then I could get a reasonable estimate. What are your thoughts?

About the same size as the soft top. :)

A top should cost about $300-500 to paint depending on how much prep/repair work needs to be done. Save some money by stripping off the trim pieces, mounting hardware, and headliner yourself.

hardtop

I talked with a paint/body shop guy today. He quoted me $400 to paint. I'll let him do all the work...: ) I found the demensions for the hardtop if anyone is interested. They are as follows: 58" wide 54"long 23" high. These are rounded up to nearest inch. This might help if you're considering transporting the top or crating it for delivery.

I've been searching around for a hardtop myself and haven't had any luck yet, but when I do find one I plan on wrapping it in vinyl.

Just thought maybe you'd find that idea interesting before you go painting it. Its cheaper and allows you to use ideas such as various colour carbon-fibre effects etc. The 3M 1080 stuff is incredibly good quality and the range of options is very impressive.

Not for everybody, but I love the idea of a black carbon-fibre looking hardtop.
