Hey guys I've try everything to make my hids work but nothing, I brought these blasters from eBay that were 35w and I looked up a few threats and that was recommend and I brought the error cancelers from DDM and capacitors but nothing is working and I reserve the polar wires but nothing works, I was wondering if you guys can please help me out thanks

headlights or fogs?? what are you connecting them to?

BMW7_CEO 10-02-2012 03:41 PM

It's the fog lights

mrbmwx5 10-02-2012 06:42 PM

On my 06 .I didn't have to use any of caps or error cancelers.

1bad540 10-02-2012 07:11 PM

you tried reversing the plug??

First_745Li 10-02-2012 08:05 PM

I installed the full canbus error free kit for the fogs on my '03. Do they come on and then go off? Do they flicker when you turn them on? Do they turn on and work fine but when you start the car it strobes?

BMW7_CEO 10-02-2012 09:28 PM

I've tried everything man and nothing I looked up every step or thing to do but nothing and the warning messages keep coming up on my I drive I have no idea what it can be and it doesn't turn on at all bro

BMW7_CEO 10-02-2012 09:31 PM

I don't know if its the ballasters because there 35w and I know our cars take 55w I believe but I read that if we put 55w it'll burn or heat up the harness wire and melt it

I've been there with my 7 and 3 series...
Are you trying to connect using the covering cap? Install the bulb, and bypass the covering cap (#4 in the diagram) hook up your ballast and signal cancellers. Check functionality and let me know. Also, maybe post some pics so I can see how it's connected.

maybe the ballasts are bad?? did you try switching sides? also double check the fog light fuse is still good.

KingSilverback 10-03-2012 06:32 AM

You bought from ebay you say? What brand name is the kit? I bought the 35 watt slim hid kit from DDM including the error eliminators, installation was a breeze everything works great, you have a defective kit and if its throwing errors even with error eliminators your ballasts probably don't work.

First_745Li 10-03-2012 06:43 AM

I would stay away from those cheap Ebay kits.. just asking for trouble. Really crappy china made

KingSilverback 10-03-2012 06:45 AM

Same thing I was thinking First_745Li but I didn't wanna assume.

Prices on eBay are very attractive until you try to install it or get something replaced under "warranty"

1bad540 10-03-2012 07:16 AM

the ddm kits are cheap chinese kits too but the build quality is decent. Ive had a few sets and never had a major issue.

See if you can get the ballasts exchanged. and try it again on the Chevy truck just to make sure they work before trying it again on the 7. I would think you need capacitors something like these...

I don't know bro like these ballasters don't work my 7 and it doesn't even flicker or turn on for a little with the error eliminators from DDM

mrbmwx5 10-03-2012 08:14 AM

Try to install them without the error eliminators, some time those error eliminators are bad too.
