How old is your battery? Have you had it tested? That is usually a sign of a battery that is on its way out.....when that started happening to me I changed the battery and it solved the problem.

Just like Hexy mentioned. Check the battery first. I the battery checks out ok. I would suspect a starter that is on the verge of complete failure.

Good luck

If it is creeping down in the 40s around you slow starting is a good sign of a bad battery. Turn the key and hold if starts to crank really slow then speeds up and starts its the battery. Best way to tell an old battery is wait for Winter!

keys

spoke to bmw and they say its the key .... but i aint paying 150 quid for a key..... anyone know where i can get a key from plzzzzzxxzx

Unfortunately, the dealer is the only place to get the key. New keys need to be programmed so the car will recognize them, and only dealers have the capability. You can buy a cheap key on eBay, but you'll still need to take it to a dealer for programming, and if they are willing to do it, they'll still charge you the 150.

I thought there were ways of doing the programing your self? YOUTUBE!
