Order placed for 2013 335x
 

Hi all, excited!

Our current 2010 335xi lease is approaching end, so custom-ordered today 2013 335xi with the following options:

Sport Line w/AT
Imperial Blue/Black Leather with red coral highlights
Cold Weather Pkg
Premium Pkg
Driver Assistance Pkg
Technology Pkg
Auto-High Beams
Harmon Kardon System

This will be wife's car...

Production week 41 (next week I presume?)...

This is a nice upgrade from what we have today:

Rear View Camera
Blind Spot Detection
Kick-open trunk (my wife saw the ad during superbowl)
Larger Screen
HUD
A little bit better fuel efficiency,although we both have lead feet
Kids are excited about rear heating seats
I am excited about Sport+ driving mode

which dealer did you go with? sounds like they had an allocation readily available

Most of the dealers I spoke to had production for week 41 (next week?)... I've eventually picked BMW Of Bridgewater, NJ

Hard to believe that you just ordered a 335i and it will be built as soon as next week !! :dunno:

I ordered my RWD 335i on August 16th and its production will begin Oct.16th - two months after ordering !!! :thumbdwn:

I have been told that BMW is giving production preference to Xdrive models - maybe your experience is an example of this policy ?

@DerekS - or maybe they managed to clear up backlog... Dunno, as of this morning, checking online/calling 800 number still does not give specific production start date, so not sure if will be truly next week...

Went into production today, got my VIN ! (info from the dealer)

Interestingly, the 800# and web site still show wrong color car, and "no confirmed production date yet"... They can't be that much behind, can they?!

^^ if you have the VIN you can use a VIN decoder website to verify all the options on your order.

I tried that (bmwvin), and it didn't recognize it... Perhaps I need to give it some more time!
