335d ECU Tuning
Hi Guys,

I hate to bring up a dead thread but I've just purchased a 2009 BMW 335d in Canada and I'm wondering if there is any good way to "Tune" it without having to remove and send away the ECU? I'm used to tuning my previous VW TDI with a OBII Based Loader.
Is something like that possible from Evolve or RENNtech?

I noticed Evolve has a "Switch" they talk about on their website. Has anyone used this?
(See below)

Evolve Switch - Available worldwide (available to purchase online below)
Remote ECU Remap Performance Software Upgrade with Vmax
E9x 335d 286 bhp, performance approx. 350 bhp, 700 Nm incl. V-MAX release
Evolve Switch - 799 EU | 707 non EU

Our ECU upgrade for the 335d is now available worldwide with the introduction of our remapping unit which we send out to you and is connected directly to your OBDII port and allows us to remotely upgrade your car.
The Evolve Switch also allows you to return your car back to the standard setting when ever you wish and then go back to the tuned state. The write proceedure takes all but 5 mins.

- Identical remap as above
- Option of 700Nm or 730Nm maps
- Switch to standard or tuned map within 5 mins
- Easy to use
- Available worldwide

None yet unless you go the plug and play route. You'll have to send your ECU away. I too own a 2009 335d that I bought a year ago with 3,800 kms on it.

That Evolve switch will not work on our N.American Ds via the remote route. You'll still have to send your ECU to their Chicago contact.

I know of two places near you that can tune your car via ECU.

Welcome to the club.

Can you share these 2 places close to me? Are they in Ontario?

I just bumped one of my topics. Look for it. ("Found a Renntech tuner in Toronto)

Will find the other one in a bit.
