Amp dead? Or something else
So I been having problems with my head unit ( dead pixels, button falling off and everything) but still work.
Last Friday in the morning I got in the car and set the radio on my favorite station and oh ho no sound turn the volume all the way up but still nothing Check radio fuses in glove compartment and trunk, there were good everything was fine. So I came to the conclusion that I need it a new head unit so a order one Yesterday I installed myself easy plug and play, everything working great nav radion cd changer but still no sound wtf!!!! So I did some research and found out that the problem could be the amplifier!! What y'all guys think??? Also if it was the amp can it be replaced with a aftermarket??? Thanks!!! |

New to the forum and to BMW. I've had my 2002 x5 for three days and have power to the head unit, but no sound. I've been reading and am going to look at the amp. I open up the back panel in the trunk on the drivers side, and there are some harnesses in there attached to nothing. Is there something missing, or am I stupid, or both? Like I said, really new to BMW...

Here is some pics, the amp is located right below the cd changer

Is that in the rear driver side panel? Because mine is empty, and harnesses that go to nothing. I thought I read somewhere that some were under the spare tire? If it's not even there I'm going to feel really stupid...
