Intermittent coolant leak on 98 e38
I need some help, I have a 98 e 38 and have just replaced the valley pan gasket, and the osv. Since the repair my car has had some coolant leaking from under the drivers side by the front tire. It has only done it twice since the valley pan change. It seems to be losing a cup or so of coolant every two or three short trips. It lost a little coolant before the valley pan was replaced as well. I am at a loss as the visible leak is occasional and it is not leaking very much when it happens. Also if I may one more quick question, my abs traction control light came on after i replaced a speed sensor in the front right wheel. I was told it should get rid of abs /traction control light being on. It didnt help, now my mechanic says it is the ABS control unit that causes the light to be on:bawling:. Any suggestions? I purchased a used one and was going to replace mine, is it hard to install?

Thank you,

For the coolant leak I would checker the aux water pump/heater valve since its the drivers side area.

For the ASC/DSC module. Fairly easy. Good luck!

Check the coolant hose that connects the radiator to transmission heat exchanger. Put the car on a lift, remove the lower engine cover, and look for white/blue spots indicating the leak point.
