35i LED taillights and turnsignals retrofit
The fact that BMW put xenon hid headlights, led headlight rings, and led taillights on my x3 is nice and as expected. But what were they thinking putting standard incandescent turnsignals and brake lights!!! :tsk: I know there are led bulbs out there that fit in the standard slots and I want to get them. Anyone know what bulbs will work on the F25??

Here here. I hated that.
Why does a 3-4 year old 3 series in UK have LED tail lights, and we're stuck with the joker ones, even on an M-Sport :-/ Any takers on easy ways to resolve? Can't imagine it would just be a buld replacement, probably the whole light cluster! John |

Ok I did some googling and looked in the manual. The front signals are PY21Ws and the rear signals and brakelights are P21Ws.

they do it so they can easily update with the F25 refresh coming in the next few years...:thumbdwn:

I put these ones in the front (amber turn signals) and they work great. There is no DTC ("error") message reported, so they function just like normal bulbs. I wanted to try them as a test before getting rears and they definitely passed. Haven't bothered to get rears yet though.
