Inconsistent working HID Xenon problem

Hello,

My Xenon headlights work almost every time I use them for the first time in the day. (Some days one does not come on) But the problem is once they are working they work fine for the duration they are on but once I go to the store or something and turn them off I usually almost always have one not work (sometimes both sides and it does not seem to be one side more than the other. Usually by turning the light switch on and off (and the car) a few times I can usually can them both to illuminate but I assume this is a easy diagnosis it is just I am new to Xenon lights.

All help appreciated
Thanks!

It could be your bulb(s) going out and entering the "cycling" phase of their lives. When did you purchase them/replace the bulbs last?

Like Bimcwe said it might be your bulbs
I believe once xenon bulbs start goin they shine more of a pinkish hue
But since they both are affected, my guess would be more towards the battery if its old/high millage
Mine did that (driver side only) till I replaced the battery

I just recently bought the car so I do not know how old the bulbs are. I have know problems with them while driving while they both are working.

Swap XENON bulb, if it didnt transfer u have an igniter problem( very common on where igniter is inside headlight not behind bulb

This is a VERY common issue. I have this problem on my Maserati right now it's most likely your igniters not the bulbs even though they probably could use some replacement also. You can get a HID kit from ddmtuning for cheap and they work fine. They come with the HID ballast/igniter AND bulbs for only like $40s.

Awesome

I will probably check those kits out. Thanks :)
