:cry: of joy man, I promise the car Gods never to stray again from the family.

Honestly guys I have forgotten how great this car felt on my test drive back in May. The stick, butter and silk, direct, awesome on the downshifting and damn its hard to keep this thing below 4K rpms. I was going to spend a couple of hours setting things up, phone, music etc, but I said the hell of it and hit some nice roads around Great Falls. One word comes to mind. Orgasmic.

For those that care I didn't take the car out of sport+ and it felt AWESOME. Steering nice and tight and direct, suspension stiff but very comfortable on the road anomalies, and very little if any body lean. But the best part for my money is the manual. I swear if I had that guy from C/D I think that said this manual is average I would clobber him upside the head and tell him to get a job flipping burgers.

Anyway I want to thank everyone here for all the good times and support during the almost 4 months wait. It was so worth it, every damn second of it.

some quick pictures, heavy overcast in DC today plus I took them late afternoon, I just had to drive this thing first. I will be keeping a log and taking notes so that in a few weeks I can give you a run down from an owners perspective.

I am not normally a fan of white, but it does look mighty good in that color. I think you should patent Windsormobile. Enjoy the new toy.

Congrats and enjoy. My 328i is in Mineral White with the same interior as yours. Let's just say I have no regrets.

So I guess this means that the soft suspension, lousy steering and tacked on iDrive screen don't bother you. :dunno:

That red trim really does look sharp in the right interior (i.e., not too "busy" with other colors). "Windsormobile"...love it. :)

Good Idea. And if you can get a manual with an M adaptive suspension so much the better.


BJ, I took some back roads this afternoon kind of hard and I can't tell you if it was the adaptive suspension or what (I was in Sport+) there is almost zero body lean. The fact that my car is also 10mm lower may help. I don't know.

Yea to be honest I thought that red stripe would look tacky but it actually looks very good. I think by having glossy black trim helps since basically there is only red and black in the car. I don't know how it would turn out with red, black and aluminum.

I seriously doubt they would have a loaner with a manual but I would be more intersted in test driving the 8 speed AT. Defininely want to try the adaptative suspension.

My dealer has a loaded 335i manual whit exterior red interior and 19s :D

Congratulations, looks great. I like the way the Red stitching on the door panel carries on the Red stripe on the dash.

I also have a white E70 post LCI and want to get a white 335i with red interior. You have good taste;)

Actually thanks for being nice BJ in calling them pedestrian, they are for sh*t. I will take better ones when the sun is out and I have a chance to wash the car.

Quick update on the vibration issue. Very happy to report....zero vibration between 40 and 70 mph. I went down the parkway today, took my hands off the wheel, the sucker tracked straight as an arrow. Also no unwanted noises, the car is very solid.

For those that car since the car has the adaptive suspension it also has the variable steering.

You are almost there man. All I can tell you it was worth the wait.:thumbup:

thank you Doc. its one sweet manual let me tell you, very smooth. Better than my 07 E90 and I thought that was great.

Windsor. It sounds like you enjoy the limp-wristed steering and cushy ride in your F30. What kind of E90 fan are you, anyways?! Your comparison between the two would be appreciated in my popular thread for venting E90 die-hards. :)
