Garage door opener
I have tried several different ways to program the garage door opener on the mirror. I have tried pushing 1 and 3 at the same time until yellow led on the mirror flashes fast, (I know this is the first step for clearing all previous codes). Push the purple learn button on the garage door motor (parked under the garage door motor) I then have the yellow light on it light up, I go to the mirror within the 30 sec., and push the 1 button and the remote (with it behind the mirror) at the same time 3 times each time waiting till it flashes once and space it about 1 sec. between breaks and it hasn't worked. But if I push them the 4th the 1 button flashes continuously. Which I take has accepted the program. The reason I think it is taking the code is when I push the 2 or 3 button it flashes slowly. It also reprograms the garage remote the first time. This is a rolling code garage door opener. I am trying to program a 2007 x3si. I have googled this and this is the way everyone has said to program it. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

When I programed my mirror, I first made the mirror learn the rolling code from the remote. When it took it by flashing rapidly, I then pressed the learn button on my garage door and when I pressed my button on my mirror it took it. Homelinks site decribes step by step on how to do it for our mirrors and it helped me alot in knowing how to do this.

Yes, I just tripped upon what you just said. Clear the codes in the mirror by pushing the 1 and 3 button and until it flashes rapidly. Push the remote and the 1 button on the mirror 3 times or till the yellow led flashes rapidly, then go to the learn button on the garage door motor and hold the 1 button till the light on the motor blinks and the yellow led on the mirror will flash rapidly. The last step I stumbled upon but it took and I won't touch it again. Thanks for your info on this.
