With my car when i give it the beans i notice when i stay steady at around id say 3000RPM it goes then it feels like it gets about 5-10 extra HP for a second im not exactly sure but its like going steady then you vary slightly push the gas a little more just a hair then back but my car dose that every time can anyone tell me what that is?

my car is a 1986 325 2.7L Not stroked its just the M20B27 with 300,000 miles

My E23 does the same - feels like power boost - I just enjoy it

Mine does the same thing.. Your just in the power band for the motor. Honda's have this too but they need v-tec to feel it like we do lol.

its just the timing being at a better tune. i cant remember if these have an auto advance on them but what ends up happening is at a certain rpm/engine load the timing becomes spot on giving better performance. also sounds like you may need to do a tune up. i have had a couple cars that it felt like that and the spark plugs needed to be changed

It actually looks like about 2500 rpm is where we should start feeling the power.. up to about 3500 rpm.
