I'm going to a scrap yard to look for some parts for my 1988 BMW 735i, any advice?

I'm 17 and I just got my first car, which happens to be a 735i. I replaced all the basic things, but should I keep an eye out for any specific part or accessory?

Where do you want to start? Stick with fixing the things ony your ride that don't work then go thro the hand book so you know what can be fitted.
