Lots of suction from oil cap - idling issues!!!
Hi all,
Z3 1.9i 1999 M43 Have just replaced my PCV valve, this i was hoping would cure the idling issue, or at least help with. Replaced and tested the following morning and still idling issue. So couple of questions After reading up on the pcv valve test which was to run the engine and remove oil cap and check for suction.......so removed and lots and lots of suction then stalled after a few seconds Checked breather pipe from pcv and has more or less collapsed, very very squidgy and lots of soot/ poss rubber from hose. 1 - would the hose cause this idling? 2 - what is the average idling rpm when warm (mine is 900rpm) ? Oh and to mention I have changed my camshaft sensor Many thanks |
