2013 135i Performance Exhaust option..?
Anyone with any insight...?
Is it available? Has anyone taken advantage of the option? If so, what do you think and how much is it...? I'll be taking delivery of a 135i M-Sport 6-spd in a few weeks. thanks! |
I got a MadDad cat-back muffler. A local performance muffler shop bolted it up in twenty minutes.
Total cost about $800. Couldn't be happier with the muffler. The BMW Perf muffler runs $900 to $1500. A friend of mine got a quote from a dealer that wanted a couple hours to bolt it up. I'd highly recommend sourcing non-BMW performance parts, and highly recommend finding a good local performance shop that is professional, competent & experienced with performance options. Takes some effort, but well worth it. |
Thanks for the only response!:-) Got my response from the dealer- all set

I found an AFE 49-36302 Cat back system on E-bay for $350tax ($378.00) total. System had slight cosmetic scratches on bottom tip-I bought it-sounds good-looks good!

Berk makes a couple different cat-backs for about $400, which sound great IMO - I have one on my 2013 135i convertible with the M-Sport and love it.

One thing to look into would be the port installed option program where BMW installs some performance options before you get hte car. The installation is included in the price. One advantage is that some of the accessories can be residualized in a lease (though not at the same percentage as the rest of the car). Here's some info on the F30 program, but i imagine something similar is availble for the 135i
