My First MOD! MGP Caliper Covers

I highly recommend the MGP Caliper Covers, good quality and they fit very well on the Front Calipers for my '09 650i. The back calipers take a little work to get them straight. I don't think it is the cover it is just the way the caliper is made. But them make a bold difference. The Red with the BMW letters in black cost me $270. A good deal compared to changing or painting the calipers.

Looks great.

Talk about a rare color on the car too. I don't think I've seen a red 6er coupe. Is that Imola Red?

Hey, I know this thread is old--but where did you order the MGP calipers with the BMW logo? I have always seen them without the BMW logo (and only the MGP logo).

Your help is greatly appreciated!

The name of the company is MGP Calipers, but there website is http://calipercovers.com/. I chose a custom logo with the BMW.

tresean1 02-06-2015 04:27 PM

^^Thanks for the info---where on the website does it let you customize? When I went on it, it only gave me the option for MGP logo, and not the BMW logo or one of my own logos/pics...

Looks great. Might just end up buying those covers.

They are very slow to respond to customer inquries. When they did finally respond, they refered me to custom order covers from ultrarev.com. Hope this helps.

Where did you get them for $270?

Hey, so you're saying you order the MGP calipers with the BMW logo from a website other than MGP? MGP referred you to another vendor?

I am confused. :dunno:

Oaker55 08-01-2015 03:34 PM

Yup. I was confused, too. I was looking for them for my Z4 back in February and went to their website and inquired about a special order. They referred me to ultrarev.com for special orders. Ultrarev also has a presense on eBay.

My painted calipers :)

:typing::typing::typing:Hi Guys,

I first found these caliper covers on eBay. You can order them to fit your car in either red, black or silver for $179. Turns out that's the MSRP and you won't find anybody selling them for anything different. Even Amazon has them but the price is always the same. I went to the MPG website and found the same covers there too, and the price was... you guessed it, $179. Their website is http://calipercovers.com/ Their website had a page listing their contact info and I sent an email to their sales department asking if they could produce the covers with the BMW lettering, since the covers are just aluminum and the lettering is just router cut. They sent me back a reply saying that yes, they could produce the special order covers with the BMW lettering and the price would be $270. And I could order directly from them, not through a third party. So my suggestion is to contact them at their sales email address sales@calipercovers.com and they should be able to set you up with a custom set with whatever you want on it for $270 for a set of four. By the way, there are several YouTube videos that explain the installation. It looks really simple and the hardest part seems to be getting the car in the air and removing the wheel to access the caliper. Start with this webpage and go from there. This webpage will have links to several other videos showing intricate installation details. https://www.youtube.com/user/CaliperCovers

By the way, I'm trying to decide whether to spring for the extra $91 to get the BMW lettering. I don't think that MPG is that well known so it may be just as "exotic" as the more expensive choice. Perhaps leave the lettering off altogether? Just plain red? What do you think? :dunno:

The MGP calipers are very good quality [I've used them on previous vehicles]] and certainly look better with the BMW custom decal than the normal MGP decal.

Installation is pretty straight forward, for the most part, but my previous Ram, Tahoe and Cadillac needed some minor tweaks.

Looks nice.

MGP calipers

I agree, MGP caliper covers are a quality product. I ordered custom gloss black with bolts and aerial BMW LOGO both accented in silver paint. They look great with my space gray metallic paint on my 2014 650i Cpe with "M" package. I ordered mine through CARID.com, all in price was $319.00. Good luck!
