2008 M3 Emergency Brake
 

New to this side of the forum. Traded in the 330i for the used M3, 6 speed (40k miles) which is an absolutely astonishing vehicle. The emergency brakes holds but on an incline you really have to give it a yank to fully stop the car and it probably just needs some adjusting due to slack in the cable.

Personally I would park it I gear(reverse) as well as putting it I gear. Had many stick cars and build my mustang trans with no signs of issues from doing this.

Hello shucks..my 328i does the same thing, the parking brake only fully holds the car if you pull it as far as it goes...at least you are not alone with this issue, thinking about bringing it in sometime soon...
