To get or not???

Does anyone have pics of their ride with the black kidneys they'd like to share so I can take a peek?

I did it because I didn't like the chrome. I wish all BMW's were blacked out
and then it was your decision to go chrome.:D That's just me though.
Can't remember which vendor at Bimmerfest I got them from, It was over
two years ago.
The real question is a Matte finish, or carbon fiber, or shiny black. Some people
even powder coat the stock chrome ones.

Here's what the factory BMW glossy grills look like. The bezel is glossy and the ribs are matte...

I think the black grilles look better when the car has the M5Tech or MTech bumper. Those bumpers have a large black grille area underneath the kidney grilles, which makes the two grilles match better together. The stock grille (not sure what it's called) is more silver and it doesn't look as good.

Here's what I'm talking about but the shot wit the original grille doesn't have black grilles yet on it but hopefully you see my point.

What color is your car?

Titanium gray

I'm thinking the same but mine is Carbon Black and wonder how it would look on that color. If I did go with it I think I would go with glossy black and the matted ribs.

I ordered a set of matte black grilles. They should be here Friday :)

I think the black looks better than chrome because the window trim is black. My 330 had the chrome window trim so I left the grille chrome.

Ya I have BMW 330i and it is black with chrome trim around windows and I like chrome better. I don't like the black rimes on cars at all they look dirty. Lol

I bought space grey to match my vehicle. Love them!

I did not get mine on Ebay. I got mine a long time ago and frankly can't remember where but I know I've seen them on Ebay.

Just go to eBay and look for "e60 matte black kidney" and you'll get a bunch of them for < $50 no problem. I bought mine from there and they look great, fit perfect and are very high quality.

Matter of opinion

One of the guys with a 2011 5 series did a hybrid... he had the matte black grill but changed it out... He mixed the black outer housing with the factory inner grill and I think it looks very good as well. I am thinking of going the same route as well on my carbon black....

I just ordered a pair of matte black grills for my e60. My car is carbon black. They should look great on the car after they are installed. Did any of you have any issues installing the grills?
