There is supposed to be a plastic sheet with the pass code on it that should have came with your car. Otherwise, you'll have to take out the radio, find the bluetooth unit, and hope to god the passkey it on a sticker on the bottom of the unit.

The Bluetooth module is in the trunk... Remove the panel on the left (drivers) side and the module is in the rack. The pass key (labeled PK####) will be on top of it.

My X3 came with bluetooth because of BMW assist. The dealer told me that the bluetooth module was behind the radio. Different car though.

The X3's TCU is also located behind one of the carpeted side panels in the cargo area, at least on the models I've seen.

GegeW, if you've located the correct module in the trunk, be sure to look on all sides of the module for the passkey label. The label is sometimes located on the bottom side of the unit.

YOU ARE THE BESTEST! :) I told my husband what you said and he found it under the unit!
