Dashboard Lights

Hi,
I have just has a problem with my dashboard lights on my BMW e34 520i, they flicker and then go off and then come back on again, this is the whole of the dashboard panel including the clock. I wanted to find out if this is an easy fix, thanks.:)

Will probably be easy once you find it. Start with light switch, dash light dimmer, plugs and earths (grounds).
