SAT not selectable from iDrive
 

Hi -

In my 2006 530xi, the options list includes S655A Satellite Tuner. When in "Entertainment," though, while I see SAT (along with AM, FM, WB, and CD), I can't select it (I'm trying to get my ID).

Is the S655A not the only option necessary to have Satellite radio, or is there possibly a setting somewhere that I need to tweak.

Hi

It could be that you have a faulty satellite tuner module? perhaps locate and replace it with a known working module and test. If it works, then you know you may have to purchase a new or replacement module. If that doesn't work, you need to fault find some more in order to determine why.
