335i MSRP 55K lease deal in NJ ???

Hi all,

I'm looking for a lease deal on 335i.

I just got the following rate

5K total money to be paid initially
639 per month

Can anyone give me suggestions if that is a reasonable deal ???
I need the car ASAP, also if anyone knows of a good dealer in the tristate area, would appreciate some feedback.

Thanks

Seems high.

Have you visited Park Ave BMW in Paramus? They have the best deals in the area.

Seems like a silly question - and of course its YOUR money, do with as you choose.

But don't you think 55k is a bit on the steep side for a 3 series? Like 85k is high for a loaded 5, or 120k is high for a loaded non-individual/760/Alpina.

Again just my opinion, as far as your original question it does seem a little steep with that down payment.

Are you getting the car for slightly above invoice?

Good Luck
Chris

Edit: NM, just optioned a M Sport Line 3, and with it pretty loaded its cresting 57k, ouch.

I ordered my car from Mike Wendroff of Morrisstown, NJ. He was a pleasure to deal with and I got a very fair price.

mike.wendroff [at] openroad.com if you're interested in contacting him.

Seems high. I nearly purchased a 2013 M-line 335ix nicely optioned and with 7500 down, monthly would have around 690. Not really that much more and it was to own, with none of the restrictions of leasing (that was 57k, but deal was on 55k) dealers don't like to negotiate 335s.

I ordered mine from Munich and paid $440 over invoice. $500 rebate on the way from BMWCCA.

MonkeyCMonkeyDo 11-09-2012 01:14 PM

What is the actual MSRP? How long is the lease? How many miles a year? There is no way of knowing if that is a good deal without more information.

The 5k could be all MSD's

You could be doing a 20k a year lease.

More information is needed though I got a much lower monthly payment for my 335 which was 55k as well.

seems pretty high actually...

So essentially

Here goes the details

36months 12K lease with total inception payment of 5K including tax, title, doc , bank and dealer fees.

I just realized that the BMW advertisement on their website gives the following no.

419/month on a car with MSRP of 47850 with total of 4144 at signing

I just made the following car on the bmwusa website

Alpine White
Sport Line
Heated front seats

and this costs total of 47850

Does anyone knows a dealer in NJ that can get me the above car.

Thanks

I don't know, chief. Such a rare car right there.

Call Gil at Park Ave BMW in Paramus.

Check out BMW of Tenafly. They beat Park Ave and Prestige when I got my car. Also check out Spring Valley in Rockland.

Same here. And I drove 1.5 hours and passed 4 other dealers to do so. Mike Da Man!

I just ordered a car in Louisiana with an MSRP of 47,861. The manufacturer offers that deal so you should be able to get it anywhere. My down payment was $4.7k for a 39 month lease with total payments of $417 per month. I did not want the Prem. package so I ordered the metalic paint, keyless entry, heated seats, floor mats and heated steering wheels. Gap insurance is included in this lease also.

Just an FYI, heated steering wheel is no longer a stand alone for '13, you have to get the full cold weather package.

Have you actually calculated any of the details?

I'll be very honest. I have not, but bear with me here ... for a lease payment, does it matter?

If all that is important to me is miles/year and a competitive monthly payment, how ever way they chop it up to get to the magic number is secondary. I recognize that I have probably just offended a lot of people who work very hard and diligently to crunch the numbers. I'm not that smart. That is exactly why I am here, asking the smarter guys on here to chime in.

Does the final payment pass the sniff test?

Wow, that is such a long term lease and I can't fathom paying over $650 to lease any 3 series except an M3, but that's just me.

All current BMW "specials" for leases are 39 months. I could put a lot of money down, and bring the payment down to your liking, but again, it's a lease, so I would rather not put any money down.

Does anyone have any constructive feedback on this offer?

MonkeyCMonkeyDo 11-18-2012 09:57 AM

Do a 10k a year lease and then buy the miles later. It works out cheaper than doing them up front. Should save you a ton of money since the residual will probably be 5% higher. And 24000 miles at 10 cents is only 2400 bucks. Also doing 39 months is usually not the best as you get stuck paying a years registration for a car you only have for 3 months.

resid is 3% higher. and miles are 16 cents each before the last 6 months of the lease, 20 at the end.

It matters immensely. If you want a good final number you need to do the math. You need to go to the Ask a Dealer forum and make yourself an educated consumer. Everything you need to know about leases is there for the learning, even an easily understandable explanation of how to calculate a lease by hand.

You need to understand the importance of the actual selling price, the money factor/interest rate and whether or not it is marked up, how to convert the money factor into an interest rate, security deposits and how multiple security deposits can be used to get a lower money factor, the acquisition fee and whether it has been marked up, why it is better to make a zero (or very small) down payment/capital cost reduction, etc.

I don't mean to sound real rude, but saying you're not smart doesn't make me (or just about anyone on Bimmerfest) want to do your homework for you. Getting a good lease deal requires exercising your intellect. There's no way around it.
