I am need to replace my front bumper and I am looking for opinions. I am from the audi world and we over there are against all the ricer looking bs. Im sure the same opinion is shared here. I want to update the front end with out making it look like I am 16. What are my options here? Ive looked at a few online and am a stand still. Would appreciate your opinions:) oh yes this is a 93 525i

First and Foremost, Welcome!

This is mine, BavAuto DTM Splitters:

They have a lot of M5 bumpers and some lips.

Alot of people go for the Volvo lips:

Volvo Lip Thread- bf.c

Its more of just add-on stuff, lips and things. People like yellow "French" lights (like my fogs), black grills, stuff like that. Not so much a bumper as a whole.

Thanks for the welcome:)..Looks to be the same opinions here. Ill just go with stock and maybe the volvo lip. But those splitters look pretty nice as well. I got the car for pretty much free for some trade work I did so I figure ill make it look and run good and park it in my shop next to my S4 and have 2 nice summer cars that are a pita.

It runs just fine! Just going to give it a basic tune up. All it needs so far is the intake boot which is electrical taped:) Gotta love ppl's "repairs" when it comes to a $30 part. Heres a question the hose coming from the booster doesnt fit into the intake boot. Could this by chance cause down shifts to first in an auto to stall a bit? Say when you come to a stop and roll out of it sometimes the tranny feels like it engages first hard. Like the driveline hesitates to engage from the tranny. So sometimes it revs and then engages with a jolt. Im not to familiar with autos and am wondering if that booster helps the tranny at all

I dont know why that hose wouldnt fit. Is it the right part? can you take a picture of it. I dont think that has anything to do with the transmission but I could very easily be downright wrong. I'm not that well read up on autotragics. I do know that our fluid level is usually the only answer with them, or clearing some sort of code or switch.

Its the only hose that goes from the booster to the bottom of intake boot. It doesnt fit due to the intake hose being all messed up. The rubber is hard and cracked. Its just a shot in the dark. I was just curious as to if the tranny had anything to do with the vacuum system such as the vacuum of decelerating assisted the tranny to down shift etc. But the more I think about it I dont think it does

I dont think it is either. Replace that hose though, cant be more than $10, and it doesnt hurt to get new parts on it.

Real OEM Intake Boot

The only hoses i see on the intake boot are for the ICV. can you post a picture of this hose?

It is the #10 hose on that link. That hose looks good. Its the actual intake hose thats all effed up. I just ordered an OEM replacement for it. Thanks for the assistance!
