Exaust concept

I am trying to finish this concept i have for a muffler exchanger

Imagine two types of mufflers one glasspack one silent (or as close as you could get)

Make a flexing section in which you could switch them

One loud one for racing noise making one for quite cruising what are pros and cons you guys have

Exhaust cut-outs have been available for years.

OT is the wrong forum for this subject. I'm moving this to E30 where you will get more technical advice.

this is such an old idea. they already make electric versions, so you can switch at the touch of a button.

Those cutoffs are for no muffler sound i want to have quiet sound on the road and glass packs or some louder muffler with a different sound i hate glass packs and cherry bombs sound like backfires
And having no muffler sounds worse then all three

You hate glass packs but want to put them on your car for a "different sound"???? :tsk: Brother, you contradict yourself.

There's no reason you couldn't plumb a conventional muffler off one side of those cut outs and a glass pack or other 'loud" muffler off the other direction.

They already exist. Google 'muffler with volume control'. Plug and play bolt in.
