What the heck is this bulb?
1 Attachment(s)
This bulb is dead. It is sandwiched under the daytime running light within the round cover. I had to take the light assembly out to get my man-hands in there.
My car was the 09 528 LCI NON-xenon What the hell is it? |
Looks like your angel eye bulb that was mentioned as bad in another post. Change it out and your High beam (reduced intensity) would work normal again and your angel eyes would re light when the light switch is in parking light mode or your headlights are on.

**** me!
This damn car..... The trick is getting the replacement |
It is your Angel Eye bulb on the LCI xenon headlight 528. It has nothing to do with the high beam/DRL. I'll save you some time. Don't bother looking anyplace other than BMW for the bulb. You won't find it. You will pay a little under $40.00 after tax at the dealer.

I'm more than two hours away from a dealer. So, learning how to diagnose, take apart a headlight assembly, and part search, just for a ****en light bulbs,........has been fun.
Thanks guys. |
Might want to consider upgrading to an aftermarket LED bulb type - especially if you want to match the color of the xenons. Just make sure they come with a ballast and state that they won't give off any error messages.
