Help Please! Fuel Pumpissues
 

Just replaced the fuel pump and my car will not start (2005 530I M54 Engine, E60) not sure what to do next. anyone able to help?

Contact a local independent mechanic and explain what you did. Sounds like you need some professional assistance.

Was the car working properly prior to fuel pump replacement? What prompted you to replace the fuel pump?

Car would not start in the mornings(cold mornings). I waited til noon or so (seems above 55) and it started. Elk Grove BMW said that fuel pump was working intermittenly and would need to be replaced soon (6 weeks ago) so i replaced it. (Mechanic for 20 years so i know a little about wrenchin, sick of everything we own smelling like petroleum) After checking things out this morning i think the fuel pump is bad! Bought it from getBMWparts.com. Believe me when i figure it out i will let you all know! Trouble shooting is 90% of the battle!
