code reader..clearing
 

so i replaced the throttle body on the 2000 328i. Now i need to clear the codes from the computer. plus i don't know if i need to do something else so my car will read the part properly.....anybody know if the regular scanners will do what i need?

I went to advance to get the codes read and asked if their scanner would clear the codes. NOPE, it only works on the check engine light. I have the eml and another light. still in fault mode. I need to clear it to see if i fixed it right. can anyone suggest an adapter for my pc and a program that I can do this with?... I see lots of scanners on the net...which one?
