You aren't going to like the price. :yikes: You're best bet is going to be used from a junkyard. They're available from many sources. My favorite (just because it's fun to go there) is Vines Automotive in Bessemer, AL, but there are dozens of BMW-specific wrecking yards to chose from. By the way....if you wrecked bad enough to bend that arm, I'll GUARANTEE YOU it did more damage than that. That arm is one sturdy piece of kit. At minimum you've got a ruined CV axle. Just where were you searching anyway? :tsk: http://data.bmrparts.com/bmwparts/16...65320046U.html http://www.addoway.com/viewad/BMW-e3...-97-96-1888713 |
Those prices aren't too bad !! But by the grace of god, I had an auto shop look at it, nothing else is hurt. Which I'm extremely grateful of because bimmer parts aren't cheap #missmyhonda

doesn't the compact (ti) use the same rear suspension as the e30??:dunno:

Not exactly. Very similar, but different enough that they don't interchange*. The Z3 rear suspension parts DO interchange with the ti, but they're just as expensive as the regular compact suspension pieces.
*You can, however, use E36 compact/Z3 rear suspension parts to convert an E30 rear to five lug wheels. |
Huh good to know I suppose.

50 bucks isn't bad ! Thanks really appreciate it! It's drivable but it cambers just enough so that it's a little noisy
|
I would not be driving it with a bent control arm. But aside from that, you really need to have it professionally inspected to see if there is any other damage.

Guys, you gotta remember, the ti doesn't HAVE a lower control arm. It has a trailing arm ONLY, just like the E30. |
Very true sir ! Thanks for making note of that. The ti is quite a weird breed of BMW
