1986 528e Instrument electrical problems?
 

Driving along minding my own business and I hear a click sound through the radio and it dies as does the speedometer, mph gauge and the fuel , temperature and time computer to the right of the instrument panel. It all came and went a couple of times but seems dead now. Help.

Check the fuses, battery cables and connections, and grounds. Corrosion problems sometimes cannot be easily seen and can be present in wires under the insulation. The fuses should be remved and carefully checked, they're known to crack and loosen up in their holders. The electrical problems in these cars is an ongoing battle, but don't give up.
