Great trip! Just landed in Houston with one more flight to go. Four hotels, one in the Amsterdam Airport, and one night on a plane out of 8 nights!

Car was great, just very little satisfaction just leaving it there. I'm sure we'll be back in a few years and have big plans for driving on that trip.

They have to appreciate how much time I spent messing with photobucket for blackberry within the 12 hour limit. If someone knows how to get a direct link that you can embed on a blackberry please let me know. Finally just got on a computer at the hotel.

The solution to your problem is to use a modern phone...not one of those dinosaur-like blackberries. :p

What my wife likes to reply to people when they show off their iPhone and ask what she has, she'll jokingly say she has an "iDon'tPay". It's a small amount, but over the years, the cost of a smartphone and data plans add up (after tax dollars), and if your company foots the bill for your Blackberry, it's difficult to sometimes make the change, or even worse, carry 2 phones - one for work, and one for personal.

I've been holding out for years to try to not be like everybody else. I think my time with a blackberry is going to end before long.

It was so hard to get many really good pictures at delivery time because it was so dark (car was delivered at 5:00). But this one my wife just put the camera (Sony A35) in panoramic mode. Awesome picture. I was going back upstairs because I had forgotten my "please don't throw away the licenses" printout back in the locker.

Congrats! I really like the night shots of your car at the Welt. Never seen any like that before.

Thanks. I always thought they did all of the deliveries first thing in the morning so people could get on their way with their cars. So I was pretty surprised when we got a delivery time of 5:40 PM. I told my wife we would just stay at bmw welt from the factory tour until the delivery, and hoped we would find plenty to do. Well, we were there from 11:00 until they shut the place down, and still came back another day.

I also asked how many deliveries they do every day and they said they can do up to 160. They were doing 140 the day I was there (11/23/12), and only 7 of those were Americans.

First - nice ride and great color selection if I do say so myself :D Second we had the same guy do my delivery. Nice guy, gave me some great driving routes through Austria. He was very excited that I ordered a manual gearbox and he said - you will really get to engage the transmission on these routes. Great Job Sven!

I asked the same question about the number of deliveries. Its impressive the number of deliveries they do on a given day. The day I was there it was somewhere around 90.

Now just enjoy the wait... I mean the ride when you get it.. :rofl::rofl:
