Let's get an idea of what "Lines" Bimmerfesters have/are getting/want.


Does anyone have data on how sales are breaking down?

I'm in a bmw dealership right now buying an m sport. New century BMW!

I didn't see the "am getting an M" option...

Isn't the M at least 12+ months away?

Shooting for an ED 2014 328i AW M Sport with the BMW M Performance brakes, chip, suspension/springs (if not included already). Will also request Michelin PS2 ZP RFTs if they can install them.

I've got a Modern. I know, I'm the contrarian. But, I like the lighter color interior.

You want contrarian? I ordered a 335i xDrive no-line with DHP and a manual transmission! :rofl:

No Line, 17's plus NYC roads are a good mix!

No-line...next one will be...who knows!!!

So did you buy it? I accompanied someone to that dealership once and the one salesmen we dealt with was kind of obnoxious. But one salesman does not a dealership make. It also seems like they almost never stock manuals.

It seems like no-line is the most common configuration on dealer lots. But there are a few things I don't like about it:

- The 17-inch wheels look kind of so-so.
- If bmwusa.com is correct, the steering wheel looks plainer and without thumb rests. It even looks skinnier, but I an not sure whether that is indeed the case. So is the steering wheel a little different on the no-line?
- The matte rubbery window trim.
- Silver plastic trim, which can be fixed by upgrading to wood.

But it understandable why some folks don't find the lines to be a good value.

Sport Line! Imperial Blue / Everest Grey combo is only available in Sport!

Sport line is worth $2500 for sure, I wish I had gotten it. Not a fan of Luxury in fact I cancelled the Lux I had ordered and went with no-line because I dislike some of the chrome trims.

Melbourne Red Sport Line. Did the PCD , and Drove Cross Country :thumbup: Bucket List ! Check ! Put 3,200 miles on. Now we have about 3,500 fun miles. Love It !!!!! :thumbup:

I absolutely LOVE my no line ride...been nearly 6 months and still love driving and admiring it!

I like the looks of my 17"ers!
The steering wheel is skinny indeed...no regrets but I'd love to swap it out.
Window trim is no big deal
Interior plain trim is no big deal

In hindsight,
If I did it again, at the same point in time, I'd go for Sport line with APPS, Everest Grey interior, and all my other options
If I did it after Msport was available, that would be a difficult choice between that and Sport line...due to Everest Grey interior

I'm getting none of the above, nor any other BMW that adopts this "line" BS to simplify manufacturing.

You know the right way to cut costs, BMW? Guess, what. It's not to say "screw you" to your customers. It's to say "screw you" to your dealerships. Close every single one and add a "buy now" button to your website's configurator. Done.

For me, I had to have the Saddle interior so Luxury line it was.

I voted "want an M Sport line" because that's the only line I would choose from the ones presented if I were buying an F3x. Since I'm going to be buying an F82 in 2015 or 2016, change that to "am getting an M".
