1994 325I transmission leak from external servo

Going to look at a 1994 325I automatic trans. with 230kmiles. Owner said trans fluid is leaking from an external servo or pump. Anything I should be looking for?

You should be looking for leaks from external servo or pumps for the transmission. :)

The oil pump for the transmission is located within the transmission itself, and is not external to it. Perhaps that will help you identify the correct source and estimate the cost of repair.

Thanks, sounds like transmission needs to be remove to repair.
