Exhaust advice - Borla w/ racing pipes
I found someone selling a used borla exhaust system with race pipes on craigslist. They have about 20k miles on them and he is letting them go for $700.
Do you guys think this is a good deal? Or does anyone have this exhaust system that could chime in? Also it is part #140246 and 60503 on the borla website if anyone wants to check it out there. TIA |

If you 'search' this forum you'll find lots of stuff about aftermarket exhausts. I think there's been a post or two on Borla. There is no substitute though for hearing them yourself in person. One man's chocolate is another man's vanilla with sardine bits. |
I don't recommend any Borla products made for any non-American vehicle.

I did some research and some people seemed happy with the borla and others did not. Also listened to some youtube clips but could not find any with the racing pipes also installed. The racing pipes are apparently for off road use only and are not street legal.

It personally isn't one of my favorite exhausts. Really doesn't sound like it belongs on a BMW if you know what I mean. If you're looking for a clean sound, I'd recommend that you check out the Vanguard Performance Exhaust. The Vanguard 335i exhaust produces a aggressive yet not overly loud tone, perfect for use on the street and on the track. The exhaust features 100% bolt-on, cat-back design, and is fully constructed from T-304 stainless steel to ensure it lasts your BMW its' lifetime. It puts out 11 horsepower and 10 Ft./Lbs of torque at the wheel as well which is definitely a plus!
