2003 330xi

Hi,

We're looking at a 2003 330xi with 51,000 miles. It will be a first car for my 16 y.o. son. He's always wanted an E46. The CARFAX pretty much validates the mileage. The vehicle is in really good condition. The dealer is asking $15,000. CARFAX shows that it was bought at auction. Anyone have any MMR or recent sales data? I'm guessing the dealer paid around $9-$10K based on KBB trade-in of $12k.

That sounds ridiculously high to me. Mileage doesn't usually count for more than a 10% premium or so. It should be under $10k in my opinion. Check private listings unless you're just in love with this car.

Also check eBay for recent sold listings as well to get an idea.
