F02 Roof Rack?
 

Has anybody put a roof rack on their car for skis or snowboards? I've been looking on both the BMW parts site and Thule site and nothing...I hope I don't have to use the ski bag, that is going to be a drag on capacity.:dunno:

Nevermind this post, I just found that someone previously answered my question. Apparently BMW has one from 2013.

I have a 2012 with the roof rack. Just be certain all the parts are installed at the factory to mount it. inside the little track doors are supposed to be a black mounting bracket that receives the roof rack clamp. It is a separate order code (mine was missing the brackets but the order code is listed on the build sheet). we are still trying to sort this out.

i think i paid about $275 for the rack.

FWIW I had a rack on my previous E66 and it works great; quiet and solid as fast as you want to go! :)

You might have to call BMW to get a fitment for a 2013; the book only showed up to 2011 when I purchased.

Did you ever resolve the roof rack issue? I've found I have the same problem...

Let me know if you want the service report for part numbers. BTW, BMW paid for all the missing parts!

I just returned from an almost 2,000 mile trip over the holidays. The rack and box work well, not much noise and stay put at over 90 mph.:)

that is all the info on the SO. They told me it also required a special adhesive.

I noticed on our showroom that the pre-2012 models already had the brackets. ironically a 2013 Alpina had them!
