2003 325I Will not start
I have a 325I and it wont start? I have already replaced the crank position sensor. I have fuel pressure but no spark. Does anyone know what else it could be?

See if you can get error codes read. Could be a lot of things - might have a failed cam sensor. Low/failing battery could be a possibility. Avg. life is about 7 years. Might have enough juice to spin the fuel pump for a few secs. but not enough to engage the starter. Not much info to go on without codes.

The car cranks over nice and fast. I have a code scanner but it only works if I can get the car running :-( I would guess your saying for me to hook it up to a computer? I'll have to ask an associate of mine if he can cut me deal on hooking up his computer to it. If you come up with anything else please let me know. Thanks :-)

You should be able to read codes with the ignition on but not running. I would crank it for a few secs then let off but leave the key on and read the codes then.

I just purchased an 01 325i with the 2.5L six cylinder. Price was right due to it not starting. Previous owner did a tune up and now the car does not start. I have never owed a BMW before so this is all foreign to me. It is getting fuel for sure. It however is not getting spark. Replaced the CPS already in the hopes that would fix the problem... NO luck there. Did the reset procedure I found on this site to reset the key to the car and that also proved to not be the problem. I am at a loss here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Get your error codes read and report back here. Otherwise you're shooting in the dark and you'll get the wildest guesses on your issue.

Also do u know what was refreshed in the "tune up?

He said he did plugs, pcv valve, air filter, and an oil change. I will have to see if I can borrow a scan tool to get the codes. Thanks!
