taking a leased car to Cananda
Hi guys, I live in LA, I just started leasing since October and I am moving to Vancouver in the Spring for work. Is it possible to take leased car to Canada? Thank you.

NO!! You have to contact the dealership you are leasing from if you are going out of the USA, and I believe it is a two week maximum. If your moving there you cannot take the leased vehicle with.

True, if you tell them you are moving to Canada, they will hit you will a big lease termination fee. If you keep some sort of residence or address or relative's address, you can continue the lease and just "visit" Canada. If you want to bring it back to the US, Blaine, Washington is nearby and also has cheap gas.

You'll need to keep license plates from a US state to continue with the lease.

It is worse than that. Most likely your US car insurance will not be valid if you are living here, which will force you to import the car to Canada. If you are non Canadian coming up on a work permit you can avoid duties and taxes probably, but if you are a returning Canadian you may be faced with taxes as well. See for more details. Good luck.
