Rear Wiper
 

I've searched without any luck. Where can I buy rear wiper " insert" for 2006 X3? TIA

I Dremeled the tabs off the blade and use a shortened insert from the front. Works like a charm.

Not a bad call USA! I just pick the rear insert up at the dealer when I buy new front ones. It's $12 for all 3 inserts.

Edit...I always buy all 3 at the same time...that rear blade is expensive...

Try searching the forum, we already had a discussion recently about this and I posted a link to the $12 source

Or just go to any auto parts store that sells the Trico "break-to-fit" inserts that BMW uses anyway.

I couldn't stand the Trico replacements streaking and hopping so I ordered the OE BMW replacements by part number which are made in Belgium. I still have a couple of sets stashed away. Not cheap but well worth the extra cost.

I learned a trick to prevent the hopping and streaking. What I do after installing is completely wipe the new rubber down with isopropyl alcohol wipes...the ones in first aid kits work great. This gets the manufacturing residue off of it and the hopping and skipping goes away.
