Cracked 2007 335 Conv Sport Rim, need OEM reqs
Just found out my flat was due to a cracked rim. I have a 2007 BMW 335 convertible with the sport package
Any recs on where to buy the RIM? I know I can go to the BMW dealership, but sure to get ripped off, any online websites etc? Thanks |
I have bought here, refurbs but decent refinishing job and cheapest around at $111 each
https://www.wheelsandcaps.com/p-2198...8x8-59617.aspx They don't always have them and the website is never correct, so you have to call to see if they have them. This is the refurb number for the front ALY59617U20 if you google that you will find lots of places that sell refurbs. Singles come up on ebay some times http://www.ebay.com/itm/07-08-09-10-...30832349655%26 or e90post for sale section sometimes has singles for less than the 400 the dealer will want. |
Also check the classified in bimmerforum.com in the tire and wheel section. Don't get rid of your bent rim because you can get it redone and have a spare which is a great idea. I have two rims with same tires just in case because of a hidden pot hole that bent two wheels and ruined a runflat...

Thanks for all your help and suggestions! love this forum for just this reason

Cracked rim is perfectly salvageable by a wheel company.
What are you talking about? They do them all the time... |

Stock? Add'l rec: Koni shocks. FSD's for stock springs; yellows for matched springs. Naturally you'll deep six runflats if you got 'em. |

I had a cracked rim repaired by welding. Months later I went to get new tires at Discount Tire and they refused to mount a tire on the cracked rim due to "safety concerns and company policy."
