Zoll plates restoration

So my idiotic self didn't exactly take care of my Zoll plates.:cry: The rear plates got scratched as I left it in the truck after PCD and our luggage messed them up. I left the front plates on, but DIYed its removal later, resulting in paint melting from degreaser over spray and other scratches.

Not sure if I should ask it here or some other forum, but does anyone have any tips in restoring these plates? I don't want to spend too much, and will definitely be up for some DIY work. Any tips would be of great help.

It appears that your attention to details, DIY skills, and lack of care, are your greatest problem, wait for the next ED and be more careful next time!

Haha fair enough. Sounds like the simplest solution :)

I'll probably hit up Home Depot and get some Plasti drip and do some mask work. It'll probably look better afterwards. Just need more patience is all.

You could also buy a replica.

I"m confused on how you actually ruined them?

I tried to recreate it from them, but they don't have the Munich emblem with the lady figure. All they have for Munich was their colored shield. If I can find this emblem, I'll get the replica. If not, more DIY :)

It's not a woman, it's a monk. ;)

I doubt that you're going to find a current Munich license plate seal. I duplicated our Euro plate on our CA plates as best I could using the German Zoll sticker from europeanplates.com:

Wow, that's actually quite cool! But yeah, I can't find that sticker anywhere. I'm in the process of Plasti-Dipping it soon, and I got a Euro plate bracket as well this plate mount. Should be finished with the re-application soon. I'll post pics when done :)

You can make any plate you want to here:

They also have many decals for each country.
