Any new x5M purchases?

Looking to buy with either an X5M or an X5 5.0 by year-end. There's an X5M on my dealers lot. What have you guys been paying for these recently?

Thanks!

PM sent.

Here's a pic from the drive home from the dealer:

Thanks!

I just bought one off the lot today that was optioned out exactly how I wanted it. With the promotions and various incentives, I was able to get it down to just about $90k.

Looks great and sounds like you got a good deal. What trim did you get? I have Piano Black which looks nice, but I'm a bit worried about about how it will look with the inevitable scratches over time.

Thanks man, I totally feel I got a great deal too...this was the same SA who got us the 535i. The trim was the carbon fiber leather which was again coincidentally what I wanted. Although I would have been happy with any of them since they all looked good. I love the piano black though; super classy looking in my opinion. If I were you, I would try to find a place to "clear bra" it or apply some kind of clear adhesive for protection. Post pics of your dash!

There's a couple of pics that the dealer took in my album.

Guys. Nice x5m's there. I would post a pick, but don't know how to upload to the fest. I got a smoking deal. About 10k off. Only 40 miles on her and almost used a quarter tank of gas.

dunderhi 12-23-2012 01:28 PM

The X5M is getting to be popular around here. I drove up to Philly today and averaged 18-19mpgs. I also exercised her a bit and I'm liking it more and more.

Now to upload pics. If you are using a PC, then there's a Manage Attachments button below the text area. Click browse and pick your file location. If you are on a phone, there should be a camera icon and select upload from camera to take a pic or gallery for a pic already on your phone.

Congrats!

I'm starting like carbon black more and more - one color by day and another color by night. :D

Thank you! It's a great color, I've had a M5 and a 550 in CB. You nailed it; almost black unless in direct sunlight and at night deep midnight metallic blue when light hits it.

It is a great color and was my second choice. However the 535i is black so I could not bear the thought of maintaining two black cars.

You guys are killing me with your AW X5Ms. I tried my best to land an AW X5M, but CB is proving to be an interesting alternative. I just got my wheels this evening and as you can see, I am embracing the darker colors. :D

Here in SoCal there were 25+ AW X5M's in stock but only 2 Carbon Black. I could have saved another $1K on AW but our 650 is white, the 750 is white, the Dodge truck is white, the plane is white, ...

That's a lot of AW. I just noticed that your 650 in AW over cinnamon brown - that's the color combination I chose too!

Hardwood flooring, which isn't that hard when you drop a wrench on it. :yikes: Mrs D asked me to roll the tires into the dining room if I wasn't going to mount them right away. Unfortunately for her, there's now a set of dirty 300Ms sitting in the same spot.

You certainly are. Black wheels with a black on black car. Are you trying to go racing at night undetected?

Lucky you. There is no way my wife would allow wheels of any kind in the house.

Nah, I got the Matte Grey wheels so that I never have to clean them.

I'd be in trouble if I didn't make the bed in the morning, but leaving a car or bike project in the middle of everything seems to be okay. I guess, Mrs D is kind funny that way. ;)
