Start/stop fault
 

Hey, just noticed, that my start/stop function is activated bellow 3°C. As you can see. Did anyone else notice this too?

I've noticed this as well - never thought much about it...would love to hear some feedback from other members...

Mixed feelings about the feature. The stated fuel savings is only approx. 3%, so doing without the feature might be a blessing to compare the differences without constantly turning this option off at each start.

Have you had the service bulletins applied so it remembers the last setting before you turned the engine off?

Also, it always turns on when you go to Eco pro mode. It's been my habit to go to Eco pro then turn off auto start stop. Mildly annoying.

My solution was simple: Had the dealership deactivate the ASS function (appropiately named), the same day I took delivery of the Car (2013 640i). Not sweating that nuisance for 3% gas savings. But maybe that's just me...:)

There is a button beside the Start/Stop that deactivates the feature, but still not sure of the value or the fuel savings.

Finally I got an answer from my dealer. The new models manage ss also at lower temp. The manuals need to be updated.

Hopefully won't stress the battery too much.
