Gear shift knob

Hi there I posted this a while ago but hoping someone here can help. I need to replace the gear shift knob and when I give my VIN the item number is 25117550685. This is what I am looking for HOWEVER it is the wrong color on the leather. My interior is beige and that is what color my gear shift knob leather is along with the silver inlay. The boot is also beige so I would like it to match. The color of this item is black leather. All of the dealerships I called said it was discontinued:cry:Can anyone help with this?

I went to RealOEM and found the knob and boot. The knob is only Ruthenium while there is still a Beige boot.

"The standard trim, BMW calls Ruthenium (named for a hard white metal), is a metallic material, and we like the way it looks on the doors and dash."

Here's one on eBay:

I saw the one on Ebay but if you notice the leather trim on back is black. I need one with the leather trim in beige????? The Ruthenium and beige leather is what is on there now. Any other help with that would be appriciated. Thanks

Leather Z has several. They just made one for me to replace my aged / worn shift boot and it matches perfectly. Not only that, but with the plastic insert attached, installing it is a snap (no pun intended). They also offer a good range of shift knobs. Try them at

If not, perhaps an aftermarket knob? Some of those chrome or carbon fiber shift knobs are really attractive, and at a better price too.

I recommend the ZHP knob. You'll be glad you got it.
