iPhone Control?
 

Hi all,

I am trying to order a X3 and have some questions on the iPhone integration (mainly for listening music). Does the standard feature allow me to hook up the iPhone 4 or 5 thru the USB cable and control it with the iDrive (external device) or do I need to order the 'BMW Assist Enhanced Bluetooth USB' for that? I tried the search but didn't get a very clear answer. :-(

From what I was told when I ordered mine, I had to order the BMW Assist Enhanced Bluetooth USB for that functionality. It is pretty much the only way that I listen to music, so from my point of view, I would definitely go ahead and order it since it isn't a very expensive option to add. (Since you talk about standard features, I'm assuming you aren't adding technology because it would be included among the other features.)
