Is it a cpo?

Supercomputers 12-29-2012 07:33 PM

No not CPO

Kcustom 12-29-2012 07:39 PM

I just bought my 2013 550ix $69,445 sticker, 67 invoice, 2k rebate, 750 owner loyality. Net $64 and change new.... I love cpo but could not find a 12.... if you know the dealer and feel really good about the car I would offer them 54k...

Supercomputers 12-29-2012 07:46 PM

MSRP on this car was 78,500
They started a month ago and it was 63K I have been watching it for over a month, They dropped to 61,000 now 58,999
I wish I could get it for 54K I would pay 57K but cant get them to drop a hair under 58,500 anybody seeing any better deals out there on Similar equiped cars,

Its non CPO and has 10,500 miles but I cant find any in the country with the same options any cheaper.

Anybody else have any feedback I apprecaite the help.

Kcustom 12-29-2012 07:48 PM

Is it a BMW dealer? If so ask them to CPO and do the deal.... imo good luck : )

Supercomputers 12-29-2012 07:50 PM

Yea it is a bmw dealer and they wont do it already tried

Just trying to figure even at 58,500 is it a solid deal or to much,

Kcustom 12-29-2012 07:53 PM

Did they say why they wont cpo the car?

Supercomputers 12-29-2012 07:54 PM

No they did not. I am figuring cost factor,

dunderhi 12-29-2012 08:03 PM

Ask how much it would cost to CPO. If they say they can't CPO this car - run away.

Supercomputers 12-29-2012 08:06 PM

I will ask them again tomorrow, Anybody see any better pricing out there.

Kcustom 12-29-2012 08:08 PM

Agreed.... my guess is they cant or they would have already.... good luck : )

Supercomputers 12-29-2012 08:11 PM

what would be the reasons if they cant?

Kcustom 12-29-2012 08:20 PM

Cars not even due for its first oil change.... not sure about all the BMW rules but if they cant run away. If they can and wont they bought the car back and are in for two much.....
Disclaimer: this is only the opinion of a Louisiana boy livin on Okahoma.... : )

I recently bought my similarly equipped 550ix for $11,300 off sticker. Seems like 58k is a decent deal for that car.

Supercomputers 12-29-2012 08:27 PM

Thanks guys I will find out about the CPO, I have spent hours and cant seem to find them cheaper, I know its used and I would love to get it in the 54-55 Range but with these options It seems impossible unless I wait longer. Carfax is clean and they were the original sellers of the car.

bklynfmd 12-29-2012 09:12 PM

Not bad. Most of the packages are useful. Does it have adaptive drive?

Supercomputers 12-29-2012 09:21 PM

It only has what I listed, The special crusie control I would never use, Only thing I wish it had I think is Active Roll Stabilization otherwise its pretty loaded i think.

bklynfmd 12-29-2012 09:39 PM

Check either the NADA guide or kbb and see how much it's worth. I'd say it's a good deal for a 2012.

Popoemt 12-29-2012 10:09 PM

Grab a carfax too, just in case that car has been wrecked and is the reason they won't CPO it, V/r, Tim.

Supercomputers 12-29-2012 10:28 PM

They have one posted with it tim its nice and clean

TGray5 12-29-2012 10:41 PM

I've heard that cars that have been in an accident cannot be CPO' sure that's not the reason. It costs the dealer money to do it and they may think the market will not pay it, but if you are offering to pay the extra CPO cost it's a no brainer. It may also require they replace the tires or brakes if they are past a certain point of wear, so it can get expensive on top of the warranty cost that the dealer has to pay BMW.

schnell525 12-29-2012 11:09 PM

No CPO.....I'd start at 50k. CPO is pretty cheap for the dealer. I have a very decently optioned 550xi sport (non msport) with only 3800 miles on it pristine. No smoke, no stories, just a perfect car and no way I'd let it go for cheap. Even trade in for my car dealer trade in should be in the 56-57--which is nuts. An equivalent 550xi 2013 with my options is going towards 80k.

They can throw in the CPO.

BTW, I traded 1 year old pristine 2011 535xi with under 3k on it and the dealer certified it. You run into problems when BMW discounts a new car so much vs. a used car even with new models. Push against the dealer and have them throw in the warranty. With the year end (really, during most of the year you can get good deals) I don't see the logic in buying used. You're still paying big bucks for a car. It's not in the 10-15k shopping segment. If you're will got go for the big buck, 55 tp 65k shouldn't be that big of a hump to jump.

In the leasing game, it makes no sense. You go for the newer model with the better options.

I would not buy it unless it was CPO'd. There is a reason why they won't CPO it. It costs the dealer very little.
