89 M70 V12 temp
Hi team, i have an E34 Touring with the M70 V12 in it, lots of fun! Because of how difficult the conversion was, i have hooked up an external temperature gauge just to double check everything is fine while roadtripping/tracking it etc. the gauge in the dash shows half way when warm, but the external gauge says around 100 degrees celcius around town, havent taken it on the open road yet with this new gauge to see if it comes down. the external gauge sender is mounted inside the radiator top hose.
so my question is, does anyone know if this engine can handle that sort of temp? usually engines sit a bit lower around 80-90 degrees celcius
Ninja edit: 100degrees Celcius = 212 Fahrenheit
Well you're getting top hose temp.
You need to install the sensor closer to the engine, like tstat.
