New M Mods for F10
Good day everyone,
I was taking a look on the BMW website yesterday and noticed that they are finally offering some M mods for the 535i. Has anyone tried or heard anything about the M Performance Exhaust for the 535i version of the F10? Also, I have an Alpine White M-Sport. I love the M logo and was toying around with the idea of adding the BMW M Performance Rocker Panel decals. I was looking for some opinions on that. I would like to enhance the look of my car, not degrade it! http://www.shopbmwusa.com/ProductDet...3834&perf=true Thank you & Happy New Year's Eve to you all! :drive: |
$150 for decals! :yikes:
Below are some alternatives if you want to be creative: http://www.bimmian.com/M-Colored-Gri...W-F10-5-Series http://www.bimmian.com/Interior-M-Co...W-F10-5-Series http://www.bimmian.com/M-Colored-Str...W-F10-5-Series |
No real opinion on the sticker itself. It is a personal taste thing. However, the price is way over the top;
BMW M Performance Decal for Rocker Panels $150.00 |
All things considering, I didn't think $150 was too bad for a solid decal...especially if it protects the rocker panels. My biggest concern is applying them and diminishing the looks of the car. :drive:
Has anyone seen the M Rocker Panel Decal on a F10? |
I don't like 'em because they'd make it look like the side of your car sits higher (you can't always make out the black). Also, it reminds me of those 90's cars with black bottom pieces that people would paint body color to look better and lower to the ground, lol.
I love the M logo as well. In M-B land, it's considered a big poseur tacky no-no to put any AMG badges on a non AMG car. However, with BMW, considering there are "M" logo's all over our M Sports, and BMW offers M Performance parts, would something like an "M" license plate holder be considered poseur or "wannabe"? |
I think you are totally safe with the license plate. In my opinion, the only no-no is replacing the 535i trunk badge with a M5 one. That says poser and it's too obvious that it is not an M5. They didn't start making M5's again until 2013 and the body moldings are different.
Thanks for the input on the rocker panel decal. I have to admit, after more thought, I think it might take away from the looks. I'm still curious if any 535i F10 owners have installed the new M Performance Exhaust. I would love some feedback before I pull the trigger and get it installed. :drive: |

I do really like the look of the badge, especially on black I think those colors really pop. I realized my wheels have M logo's on them so maybe that can pacify me for the exterior. :D Yeah, when I was considering white, I looked at those rocker decals and thought I'd get them, until I saw some pics from a distance especially in slight shade, it just looked like there were no rocker panels and the car was sitting kind of high off the ground. That ixnayed it immediately to me. |

Actually found the Price. Next question is how hard it'd be to install in getting it perfectly aligned? Lol

Smashhell, your car looks great! I really like the rocker panel decal on your setup. The black rims and the black you'ved added to the front of the car make all the difference! Did you purchase a new front bumper or did you have it painted? It appears to be black in the pictures; is that correct? Did you have your side mirror painted black as well?
qadhi79, thanks for the video link! Did you notice any performance gains after installing the M exhaust? :dunno: |
